My name is Braelyn Anderson and I am excited to be the Counselor at Biomedical Preparatory! I am a proud Dallas ISD alum who decided to come back home. I am currently going into my 9th year as an educator in DISD. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas at Austin and my master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. I worked for 6 years as a K-2 teacher before transitioning to the school counselor role.

I have a passion for helping students grow their personal-social skills, assisting teachers to address the social-emotional needs of students, and building relationships with students and their families. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and traveling to new destinations.
