Mrs. Natalie Cruz-Garcia
Hello! My name is Natalie Cruz-Garcia, and I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Ohio University and received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In college, I taught 2nd grade Spanish as part of a program titled Foreign Language in Elementary Schools. During that time, I also taught English as a Foreign Language to adults. In 2014, I moved to Dallas as a corps member for Teach for America. I began my career in education by teaching 3rd grade Math and Science. In May 2017, I earned my Master of Education with a specialization in Mathematics from SMU. After teaching 3rd grade for three years, I transitioned to teaching 5th Grade Math and Science. A few years later, I was promoted to Math Instructional Coach. This upcoming school year will be my 9th year in education, all here in Dallas ISD! I am so excited to be the founding Coordinator at Biomedical Preparatory. I recently got married to my amazing husband! We enjoy spending our time outdoors especially camping and hiking!
My vision for this upcoming school year is to create a space for all students to feel safe, welcome, and explore their curiosity. I am so excited to meet our students and provide them with the opportunity to be innovative and learn about the biomedical sciences. I cannot wait to work alongside our families, teachers, and students to create an environment of empathetic and resilient learners!
